Holladay

Located at the base of the Wasatch Front Mountains, Holladay residents enjoy easy commutes to both Downtown Salt Lake City, nearby University of Utah, and the ski canyons. Named after John Holladay, this area was established in 1847 as a little village away from Salt Lake City but has grown to more than 27,000 residents. Beautiful views of the mountains can been seen from almost anywhere in this town.

 

Shops & Restaurants

Holladay boasts about 70 restaurants, bars and coffee shops and three main shopping areas. Some of the popular restaurants include Franck’s Restaurant, Tuscany Restaurant, Layla Mediterranean Grill & Mezze and Café Madrid. Residents can make a quick trip to the local Macys, or even the local Pier 1 Imports.

 

Parks & Recreation

holladay golf courseHolladay has several large parks and the Old Mill Golf Course. Day trips can be planned to the Hogle Zoo or up to the ski towns like Park City. Schools

There are five elementary schools, two junior high schools and two high schools in the Holladay School District. In addition, the University of Utah is a short 15 minute drive away, or a 40 minute bus ride. Other local higher education schools include Salt Lake Community College, the LDS Business College and about a 40 minute drive away is Utah Valley University.
