But if there is something you are looking for outside of Sugar House’s offerings, the town’s main thorough ways make for easy commutes to anywhere in the Valley.
Sugar House offers an array of parks, trails and more. Bicyclist can enjoy nearby Millcreek Canyon and Bonneville Shoreline trails. Interested in a picnic? The Sugar House Park is one of the biggest around, encompassing more than 110 acres of green space. For those interested in heading up to the mountains, Park City Ski Resort is a short 30 minute drive away, and the Brighton Resort in Big Cottonwood Canyon is a short 35 minute drive away.
There are six elementary schools, two junior high schools and one high school that Sugar House students report to in the Salt Lake City School District. In addition, the University of Utah is a very short 10 minute drive away. Other local higher education schools include Salt Lake Community College, the LDS Business College and about a 45 minute drive away is Utah Valley University.
